The Best Dressed on the Most Famous Red Carpet of the Year

It’s the Super Bowl of fashion! Here are my favorite looks from the Oscars’ Red Carpet.

The accessories, her makeup, and her fabulous hair are what really pull this whole look together. Be-au-ti-ful!

This dress was featured at NYFW! It seems rather non-conventional as an Oscar dress, but I love that she was willing to try something a little different. So fun!

The dress is alright. I mean, it’s reminiscent of a lampshade, but I love the color, and her hair and makeup are perfection.

Eee! The baby blue color! The headband! The spectacular ear-cuff-like earrings! So much to love!

I’m not crazy about her hair and makeup, but this dress fits like a glove and is simple and modern at the same time.

This dress KILLED it. I don’t think she’s ever looked better. I love everything about this look.

Love the makeup, love the metallic. This girl can do no wrong.

This is the first time in about a year that JLaw has worn a Dior creation that I genuinely liked. The red is spectacular, and the peplum is perfect. I also love that she brought back that same reverse-style necklace.

Pretty as a flower. Her makeup and hair are glorious.

You know what I’ve always wondered, though? What the people who actually design these dresses think when they see an actress walking down the red carpet in their creation. Particularly what they think if the actress alters the dress in a way that makes it look terrible. I mean, some dresses are just hideous to begin with, but others only seem hideous because the actress’s stylist simply hemmed, altered, or accessorized it completely wrong.  That’s got to be frustrating. All of a sudden, the actress falls into the “worst dressed”lists, but it’s not the dress itself that landed her (and the designer) there. #awkward
